मुंबई : युट्यूबर रणवीर अलाहबादियाच्या वादग्रस्त टिप्पणीबद्दल मुंबई पोलिसांनी प्राथमिक चौकशी सुरू केली होती. याप्रकरणी रणवीर व समय रैना दोघांशी मुंबई पोलिसांनी संपर्क साधला असून त्यांना याप्रकरणी चौकशीला उपस्थित राहण्यासाठी सांगितले आहे. याप्रकरणी रणवीरसह अपूर्व मखीजा, समय रैना आणि ‘इंडियाज गॉट लेटेंट’च्या आयोजकांविरुद्ध मुंबई पोलिसांकडे तक्रार करण्यात आली होती. ‘इंडिया गॉट लेटेंट’मधील कथित अश्लील आणि वादग्रस्त विधान करण्यात आले होते. सध्या पोलिसांनी या प्रकरणात कोणताही गुन्हा नोंदवलेला नाही. याप्रकरणी चौकशी करण्यात येतआहे.

खार पोलिसांना प्राप्त तक्रारीप्रकरणी गुन्हा दाखल होऊ शकतो का ? याची पडताळणी करण्यासाठी सध्या प्राथमिक चौकशी सुरू असल्याचे अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले. याप्रकरणी मुंबई पोलिसांनी रणवीर व समय दोघांशीही संपर्क साधला असून त्यांना चौकशीला उपस्थित राहण्यास सांगितले आहे. अलाहबादियाने नुकत्याच झालेल्या ‘इंडियाज गॉट लेटेंट’ या कार्यक्रमाच्या एका भागात वादग्रस्त वक्तव्य केले होते. त्यावेळी तो परीक्षक म्हणून उपस्थित होता. यावेळी त्याच्यासह लोकप्रिय आशय निर्माता अशिष चंचलानी, जसप्रीत सिंह आणि अपूर्वा मुखीजाही उपस्थित होते. अलाहबादियाने एका स्पर्धकाशी संभाषण करताना वादग्रस्त विधान केले. या वक्तव्यामुळे त्याच्यावर समाज माध्यमांवर टीका झाली आणि मोठ्या प्रमाणावर प्रतिक्रिया उमटल्या. त्या वादग्रस्त विधानानंतर मुंबईतील दोन वकील अशिष राय आणि पंकज मिश्रा यांनी सोमवारी सकाळी मुंबई पोलिसांकडे लेखी तक्रार केली. ‘अश्लील विधानामुळे महिलांचा अपमान करण्यात आला आहे. पोलिसांनी आयोजक, ऑनलाइन प्लॅटफॉर्म, कलाकार आणि संबंधित इतरांवर गुन्हा दाखल करावा आणि या प्रकरणाची सखोल चौकशी करावी’, अशी मागणी वकील राय यांनी तक्रारीत केली आहे. त्याबाबत पोलीस पडताळणी करीत आहेत. लवकरच याप्रकरणी संबंधितांना चौकशीसाठी बोलवण्यात येणार असल्याचे सूत्रांनी सांगितले.
याप्रकरणी उपायुक्त दिक्षीत गेदाम यांना विचारले असता आम्ही चौकशी करत आहोत, अशी माहिती त्यांनी दिली होती. दरम्यान याप्रकरणी आसाममध्ये गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे. मुंबई पोलिासंनी अद्याप याप्रकरणी कोणताही गुन्हा दाखल केलेला नाही. याप्रकरणी गुन्हा दाखल करायचा की नाही, याची पडताळणी करण्यासाठी सध्या मुंबई पोलीस प्राथमिक चौकशी करीत आहेत. याप्रकरणी माहिती घेण्यासाठी रणवीर व समय यांना खार पोलिसांनी बोलावले आहे.
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is under scrutiny following a controversial remark made during an episode of YouTuber Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The Mumbai Police have initiated a preliminary inquiry into the matter. Both Ranveer and Samay Raina have been contacted by the police and asked to appear for questioning.
A complaint has been lodged against Ranveer, Apurva Makhija, Samay Raina, and the organizers of India’s Got Latent for allegedly making offensive and inappropriate statements during the show. However, the police have yet to register a formal case. The investigation is ongoing to determine whether any criminal charges should be filed.
A police officer from the Khar police station stated that they are currently conducting an initial investigation to verify if a crime has occurred. The controversy started after Ranveer made an inappropriate remark while serving as a judge on a segment of India’s Got Latent. He was present alongside popular content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apurva Makhija. Ranveer made the controversial comment during a conversation with a contestant, which led to widespread backlash on social media.
Following the incident, two lawyers, Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, filed a written complaint with the Mumbai Police on Monday morning, claiming that the offensive remarks had insulted women. They have requested that the police file charges against the organizers, the online platform, the artists, and others involved, and conduct a thorough investigation.
The police are currently verifying the details of the complaint. According to sources, the concerned individuals will be summoned for questioning soon.
When asked about the case, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dikshit Gedam confirmed that an inquiry was underway. Meanwhile, a case has already been registered in Assam. As of now, the Mumbai Police have not filed any charges in this case. The investigation is ongoing to determine whether a criminal case should be registered. For further information, both Ranveer and Samay have been asked to appear at the Khar Police station.
